Miss World Australia 2010
Recently crowned Miss World Australia, Ashleigh Francis of Rushcutters Bay, said she enjoyed every minute of the four-day judging event in Newcastle. Ms Francis will now represent Australia in the finals of Miss World on China’s Hainan Island in October, competing with 120 entrants from around the world.
“It will be a little bit more competitive, but I’m going to have fun, be myself and bring back great memories.”
The former McDonalds College student has a dance background and has represented Souths as a cheerleader. Ms Francis chose to support Variety, the children’s charity, in her community work.
“I prepared by helping children with disabilities and children in need.”
Ms Francis, a TAFE design student, hopes to open a business providing low-cost clothing to disadvantaged communities.
